Our Internet Lab gives you the ability to immediately practice what you have learned.  You will use two windows on your computer to accomplish this.  One window will contain the web-based course material, and the other will be used for logging on to a system in the lab.  The following diagram illustrates the connection between your computer and our lab servers:

Diagram of Connection to Online UNIX Lab

Each time you encounter a hands-on lab exercise, you will switch to the window that is connected to a lab server to complete the exercise.  After you have completed the exercise, you will return to the window containing the course content and move on to the next topic.

Unlike other online training courses, a high-speed Internet connection is NOT required to take a course with us.  The course material and Internet Lab can both be accessed using a standard dial-up connection.
